Agentic infrastructure for consequential work.
Norm builds AI-native professional services firms and the technology that powers them.
Developing the firm organically on an AI platform lets us co-design the firm of the future from first principles, without overfitting our platform to how traditional firms operate today.
Our technology connects AI agents with the knowledge, tools and expert direction needed to carry complex assignments forward and provides immediate signal for online learning.
Professional work spans systems and decisions that depend on one another. Agents need to carry context across those boundaries, coordinate with people and other agents, and adapt as assignments change. We are building infrastructure for that coordination, connecting agents to the tools and knowledge a firm depends on. Our agents proactively decide how to allocate tasks to teams of subagents, to retrieve context from firm knowledge systems, and how to track and share progress with other agents and users.
How a professional delegates, corrects, or reviews work reveals both what a good result looks like and the reasoning behind it. We’re developing methods to leverage how agents adapt to individuals and how the firm’s collective experience becomes shared institutional knowledge.
The experts working in the platform own the outcome ultimately returned to a client. As agents take on more work, it’s critical that users understand what work is happening and are able to move naturally between delegating work, monitoring parallel tasks, intervening, and approving actions.
Consequential work requires clear boundaries on what agents can access and do. Permissions, traceable actions, secure execution, and mechanisms for recovering sessions when work is interrupted are key components of the AI infrastructure we are building.
Our evaluation work connects agent performance to the quality of the result, the time and cost of delivering it.
Those measures also guide our research into how agents learn from professionals, coordinate complex tasks, and improve through experience. The work of the firm gives technical progress a concrete standard to meet.
